About Us

Since 1999, Step Ahead has been providing quality services to people with disabilities, their families and disability services and schools. Step Ahead offers a range of social skill and work readiness training programs for delivery by disability services and school personnel. Step Ahead’s training programs have been sold to organisations in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada.

Since its inception, Step Ahead has provided services to a range of disability organisations including the Down Syndrome Association of NSW, the NSW Department for Women, the Cromehurst Foundation, Central Coast Disability Network and Recreation Illawarra. Step Ahead is currently delivering tailored social skills workshops as part of the Down Syndrome Association’s ‘Up and Away’ project.

In 2008, Step Ahead will be working with the Down Syndrome Association of NSW as part of the ‘Young Educator’s Project’ to develop workshops to be delivered to university students by young people with Down syndrome.

Step Ahead Consulting regulary delivers workshops to groups of people with disabilities. These workshops can be accessed through the Step Ahead workshop calendar or on a contracted basis.
